How should I track my miles?
You can track your miles however works best for you. Use an app like Strava and join our group here. Alternatively, you could use our exclusive mile tracker (doggy step tracker), which you’ll receive in your welcome pack. You can also access a digital version in the ‘files’ section of the Facebook group.
Is there a minimum fundraising amount?
No, any fundraising you are able to do is incredible and will help us support people living with kidney disease. We do suggest aiming for £150, as this means you will earn your very own Kidney Care UK dog medal!
Is there a Strava group for the challenge?
Yes there is! Come join our team here and share your progress on Strava.
How can I complete the October Dog Walk?
Walk with your dog 32.5 miles in the month of October. Use 32.5 miles as your target and try to get to it or as close as possible. You can space it out as much as you like. Keep track of your steps and fundraising, we will offer you hints and tips along the way.
How do I claim my free Kidney Care UK dog bandana?
Once you sign up, the dog bandana will automatically be sent to you. You should expect to receive it within two working weeks but if you have not after ten days, please let us know by emailing this address: challengeevents@kidneycareuk.org.

What if I'm unable to walk or do not have a dog?
You can take on this challenge just as a walking or achieving miles challenge, you are welcome without a dog. Why not see if you can help walk your neighbours' dogs or check out BorrowMyDoggy to find a pup in your area!
